I was looking for a narrower smaller board for my 9 and 10 year old daughters, they are about 4' 2' and 62 ish pounds average. The 6' was the best I could find and the cutout handle makes it so the smaller one has no issues carrying it. This is perfect, it floats, handles and is as stable for them as my other 7' 6" to 8' 6" softtops are for adults... All my other boards were either way to big and hard for them to use or to unstable to learn.
I bought it for my daughter and myself. We also have the roller and we are sharing the 2 surfboards between us. Both boards are great for us learners! We are progressing and having lots of fun!
