More refined than most of its counterparts in the range, and with the scales tipping firmly towards performance, the FT wildfire raises the yardstick for soft-board shredding.

Such a fun board!

I'm 6'0 175# intermediate level surfer. Usually surf a 32.1L Air 17x. Bought the 5'11" Filipe board to grovel and for small mushy days. This board is an absolute blast. I've been surfing it almost exclusively since I bought it.

Favorite

This board is super bright! It’s an absolute blast if you’re ok with standing out hah. Most of the time I’m surfing smaller mushy waves, this catches them and rides with speed and fun! My new favorite board for sure!

Floats me perfectly, super fun

Rode it in 3-4 foot surf, super fun and easy to maneuver. It’s perfect for me as I’m still learning to ride shorter boards.

Radical Performance Softy Board

The wildfire is absolutely radical. The visual appeal to this board is vibrant neon that gives some extra stoke in the water and allows you to be picked up easily from the beach if you’re shooting video or photo.

I chose to add some gear to mine, a white trackpad, a white front deck trackpad, and a neon pink comp leash (less drag in small surf) that matches the bottom of the board. This is for better performance, ascetics and to protect the design on the top of the board from wearing away too quickly as warned on the packaging.

The fins are very flexible. Sturdy at the base and up about 2-3” the ends are very flexy and rounded. There is a honeycomb design which may or may not be for firmness. All three of the stock fins that come with are center thruster fins in my opinion, but the performance is still good. They are translucent which is cool, mostly dark grey and fade towards the ends. You can always upgrade to a better set for as little as $75 (or less if you shop around) with the FCS II System. The stock fins are Mediums. You can fit a FCS III system in (it at least has screw holes and slots).

This board surfs with great performance. The rail edges fade back to the tail and sharpen way up. There is a wide groove on the bottom between the side fins toward the back of the tail which is an amazing feature of this board I thought; that is not in any review or description of the product, that made me love the board more than I expected.

The volume is perfect for getting…
