How to Choose the right size Body Board

Getting a new bodyboard is an exciting moment – Getting a board to match the waves you'll ride is paramount.

Ultimately, the enjoyment factor reigns supreme; your new bodyboard should effortlessly carry you through your dream waves. However, before committing to a purchase, it's essential to select a boogie board that suits your body proportions.

If you're uncertain about how your height and weight influence your choice, consulting a bodyboard size chart is advisable. When it comes to choosing the right bodyboard, a helpful guideline is to ensure that the board's nose aligns with your belly button.

This measurement can be obtained with or without a board, making it a convenient reference point. Familiarizing yourself with these general guidelines is wise, as they reliably steer you towards an appropriate selection.

For example, a rider between 5'4'' to 5'8'' (1.65-1.79 meters) will likely find a 41.5'' bodyboard well-suited to their needs. But what if you don't get the length of your bodyboard right?

Opting for an excessively long bodyboard can make it challenging to control, particularly in rough conditions, and may affect your ability to catch waves. On the other hand, smaller bodyboards offer less buoyancy and may feel somewhat unstable at times.
